About the Scholarship
The Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarship is an initiative by the Government of India to provide financial assistance to students belonging to eligible categories to pursue higher education beyond matriculation.
The objective of this scheme is to reduce dropout rates and promote higher education among economically disadvantaged students across India.
Who Can Apply
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of India
- Must belong to eligible categories (SC / ST / OBC / Minority as applicable)
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000
- Must be enrolled in a recognized post-matric course
- Must have passed the previous qualifying examination
